I am looking for Summer 2027 research and applied-science internships on technology and biotechnology teams building deployable ML systems. My primary interests are agentic scientific discovery, autonomous laboratories, laboratory automation, and AI for science. I am also interested in generative models, reinforcement learning, ML systems, biological sequence design, protein representation learning, and biomarker discovery.

I am particularly interested in roles involving:

Most recently, I led CMU’s work using the Model Hardware Standard (MHS) in the limited research preview. I built drivers and orchestration so an AI agent could coordinate a liquid handler, plate reader, robotic arm, and cameras for closed-loop dose-response experiments within device-declared safety bounds.

I have experience developing PyTorch research code, running large-scale experiments on HPC clusters, integrating physical lab instruments with AI agents, and publishing in ChemBioChem, PLOS Computational Biology, and Bioinformatics Advances. I value reproducible research, strong baselines, and clear communication.

If your team works at the intersection of machine learning, autonomous labs, and scientific discovery, I would be happy to connect.
